Custom Commemorative Coin with a Velvet Presentation Box

The project brief

The objective was to create a professional presentation suitable for recognition, corporate gifting, ceremonies, institutional events and special commemorative occasions. Rather than treating the coin and packaging as separate items, we planned the relief, color treatment, box material, insert and exterior branding as one coordinated solution.

A custom coin designed for clear, lasting detail

Raised metal details, recessed areas and contrasting color accents help the central emblem and surrounding text remain readable. Production planning considers small-letter clarity, line thickness, relief balance, plating, color matching, coin weight, edge treatment and durability.

Depending on the purpose and budget, similar commemorative coins can be developed in zinc alloy, brass, copper, stainless steel or sterling silver, with gold, silver, nickel or antique finishes plus enamel color, UV printing or combined processes.

Velvet packaging strengthens the presentation

The fitted presentation box uses a soft velvet exterior and a custom insert to hold the coin securely. Box color, lining, insert shape and exterior branding can be coordinated with the coin using foil stamping, screen printing, embossing, debossing or a metal logo plate.

Developing the box and coin together helps prevent loose inserts, inconsistent colors and packaging that does not match the perceived value of the commemorative item.
